They reported to us, we would no longer be building the Pontiac Vibe. This was grave news to us; nevertheless it is our duty to inform you. Management stated that the Toyota Corolla and the Toyota Tacoma production would continue. Please keep in mind Management stated that there is a remote chance that we may build an additional 3500 Pontiac Vibes in the month of August of this year. Again, this is a remote possibility. On Monday, June 29, 2009 we were informed by the company of the dissolution of the joint venture between Toyota and GM. As we now know, General Motors Corporation officially severed operational ties with NUMMI, but this is not saying that future opportunities with GM and Toyota are out of the question and venture plans could develop if they are of mutual interest. Until further notice we will continue in good faith to bargain with the company and not the media to prepare for negotiations as planned.
